Entertainment is a form of amusement, joy or pleasure, arousing emotions such as happiness and euphoria. It can be a private experience, such as watching a television programme or reading; part of social interaction, such as group games, music or dance; or training for a specific activity, such as sports or military exercises. Entertainment is often a vehicle for humour and satire. It may also have a serious purpose, as in a ceremony or a religious festival.
