The Board of Supervisors recently passed an ordinance to regulate vacation rental properties. You can view it on the County’s website under Community Development. It will not take effect until November 19, 2015. If you are renting out your property in a residential neighborhood, you should contact Community Development to learn more about the ordinance. Keep in mind, however, that the Ordinance does not abrogate private easements or CC&Rs. As a result, enforcement of these restrictions will be your responsibility.
