Writing About Entertaiment

Entertaiment is a general term that refers to any activity or event that provides amusement. It may be a single private entertainment selected by a person alone; a banquet adapted to two people; or a performance intended for thousands. Entertainments can also be a way to celebrate or commemorate an event. Some of the most important entertainments are those that serve a serious societal need, such as research into cancer.

Incorporate humor: Writing about humorous situations can lighten the mood and make an article more engaging for the audience. Be sure to understand your audience, however, so you don’t offend them with inappropriate jokes.

Use visual cues: Painting pictures with your words helps transport your audience into the story. Try to describe what the characters are seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and feeling in great detail.

Use the active voice and remove filler words such as “that,” “just” and “seem.” This will improve clarity and help your reader engage with your article.
